Literally: Almighty. Exalted.

Janâb is a word to express greatness and is used for respect. The majesty, excellency, honour and worship of such a personage. Whence, his own self, when addressed or alluded to; used with the third person plural possessive, when placed after, and without the pronoun, when placed before the name or title.
