SHARR – شَرّ

Literally: An evil deed. Evil, badness. The most evil. Worst.

Being rebellious towards Allah (‘Azza wa jalla), not obeying His orders. Acting against Allah’s commands. Any action or thought that is stated to be evil, harm, or haram, by the Sharî’ah. Sharr is the opposite of khayr.
