AL-‘ÂLAM AL-WUJÛB - العالم الوجوب

Literally: ‘Âlam is a world. A realm. A universe. A class of beings. A state or period of life. A condition or circumstance of life. The generality of mankind. The public.

Literally: Wujûb is a being incumbent. Obligatory. Necessary. Obligation. Obligatoriness. Necessity. Impossible to be non-existent. The necessity of existence. Not thinkable to be non-existent.

Al-‘Âlam Al-Wujûb is the necessary ‘âlam. The ‘âlam of the attributes and names of Allah (‘Azza wa jalla) whose existence is necessary.
