ILAH - إله ‎

Literally, ‘ilah’ is an object of worship. A god. A deity (true or false).

Allah (‘Azza wa jalla). The most beloved and respected, more than anything. The One Who is worthy of being offered tasbîh with the word 'Subhânallah', which declares that He is purified from all faults, flaws and deficiencies; Who is worthy of being offered hamd with the word 'Alhamdulillah', which proclaims His ni’mahs and gifts through shukr and praise; and Who is worthy of being offered ta’dhîm with 'Allahu Akbar', which declares that He is greater than everything known and not known by us.
