THE REFERENCE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF NUR1

 

Through the request of the deceased Zübeyir Gündüzalp Ağabey2 , Hizmet Rehberi3 has been prepared by Mehmed Birinci Ağabey in 1962, for the need which arose after the death of Ustadh Bediüzzaman. Through the request of Zübeyir Ağabey, the first published Hizmet Rehberi was expanded three to four times by Rüştü Tafralı Ağabey for the need of preserving the istiqâmah in service (hizmet) which has been broadened in large spheres. Through the statement of Rüştü Tafralı Ağabey, Zübeyir Ağabey considered this expansion not sufficient. 

Rüştü Tafralı Ağabey compiled and methodized Esasat-ı Nuriye4, the reference of The Principles Of Nur, with the help of the other Nur students and published in 1998. We attempt to adhere to the original book whilst compiling the English translation.

The compilations containing the principles of the service, which put forth the explicit matters of the Risale-i Nur with the condition of not interpreting, help to see the matters easier for the people who have a submission to the Risale-i Nur and encourage precision in the service.

As it is stated by Abdülkadir Badıllı Ağabey5 at the Eulogy of Esasat-ı Nuriye “This book named Esasat-ı Nuriye is a proof and guide work that conveys the ways of the Risale-i Nur’s fundamental basis and principles, and brings enthusiastic readers of the Risale-i Nur to them easily through being expertly prepared by a minute investigation.”

And as it is stated by M. Said Özdemir Ağabey6 at the Eulogy of Esasat-ı Nuriye “May Janâb-i Haqq give success to follow the sacred fundamentals and Nur’s principles contained in this book.... Amen”
