SAWÂB – ثواب

Literally: A reward, a recompense (usually good).

An eternal reward promised to man by Allah for his conduct on earth. A good and meritorious action. A good deed will be rewarded with the acceptance, approval and pleasure of Allah. Meritorious in Allah's sight; that entitles to future reward. The eternal merit or reward that will be given in the âkhirah acquired by ‘amal as-sâlih.
