SHARR – شَرّ

Literally: An evil deed Evil, badness. The most evil. Worst.

Being rebellious towards Allah (‘Azza wa jalla), not obeying His orders. Acting against Allah’s commands. Any action or thought that the Sharî’ah judges as evil, harmful, or haram. Sharr is the opposite of khayr.
