QADAR – قدر

This word is derived from the root “qadr” (قدر ), which means measuring, apportioning, assigning, predestinating, managing and directing.

Qadar is Allah’s preordinance and His azalî knowledge of the attributes, features and characteristics of all things, encompassing their past and future, as well as the programme that will elevate them to their point of perfection. It includes His decree and recording of that knowledge in Al-Lawh Al-Mahfûdh.
