SUNNAH OF ALLAH

Literally Sunnah: A way. A Habit. A practice. A rule of action.

Sunnah of Allah is also referred to as 'Âdâtullah or the Takwînî Sharî’ah, which encompasses the creational laws of Allah that arise from His attribute of irâdah. This term is one of the titles of the Sharî’ah arising from the irâdah of Allah and pertains to the laws, orders and commandments of Allah that arrange, govern and organise the creation and actions of each living and non-living creature. It is the stable and permanent order in the ‘âlam established by Allah. These laws are wrongly called “nature” or “the laws of nature” by the people of ghaflah and dhalâlah.

For example, gravity, buoyancy and density. Hydrogen and oxygen combine and form water.

The theoretical laws of nature, referred to as 'Âdâtullah, do not possess any material or physical; they solely possess a theoretical existence.

This law of fitrah is also called the Sunnah of Allah. Nature is the result of all i’tibârî laws in creation. Forces are the principles of this Sharî‘ah, and laws are elements of the same Sharî‘ah…

Allah has two kinds of Sharî‘ah. One issues from the Attribute of Kalâm and regulates or orders the acts of ‘abds issuing from their free will. The other is Sharî‘ah of fitrah which is named takwinî commands; issues from the Attribute of Irâdah and is the result of the laws of 'Âdâtullah which are current in the universe. The first one comprises comprehensible laws, while the second one consists of i’tibârî laws, wrongly called laws of nature. They have no creative or inventive part in existence, for that is unique to the Ilahî Qoudrah…
